The Samba Gold Award is an award given to the best Brazilian football players who have played in Europe during the year. It was created by the Brazilian website Sambafoot in 2008, and the first winner was Kaká. The award is voted on by a panel of journalists, former players, and fans. The criteria for the award include performance, consistency, and impact on their team and in European football. In addition to the main award, there are also categories for best young player, best goalkeeper, and best coach. Some of the players who have won the Samba Gold Award include Neymar, Alisson, and Roberto Firmino.
